Black Ops Cold War reportedly adds controversial modern weapon of war

A new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Leak has revealed that one of the series’ most controversial weapons – supposedly – is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC game. A weapon Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone players do not need an introduction to the Riot Shield. In previous episodes, the Riot Shield has been far from controversial. In fact, it is an afterthought. In Modern warfare and War zone it lost its useless reputation and was used extensively. In fact, it became so popular that manuals were drawn up on how to combat it.

That said, it looks like the Riot Shield is coming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, or at least that’s what a new “Call of Duty Leaks” leak claims. The claim is bolstered by an in-game image of the Riot Shield, presumably taken from a development version or the game’s files.

Below you can check out the leak for yourself, courtesy of Call of Duty Leaks:

The source in question has proven to be reliable in the past, but they are also wrong in the past. And that’s just part of the leak.

As always, take everything here with a grain of salt. Not only is none of the official variant here, but even if the Riot Shield is currently coming to the game, things could change over the course of development and as the weapon is tested. At the time of publication, Activision and co. have in no way commented on this leak. If this changes, we will be sure to update the story with whatever is provided.
