Biomutant clarifies release window

As you may have seen, the upcoming video game was previously reported Biomutant of THQ Nordic would release before the end of the publisher’s fiscal year. If that were true, it would mean the long-running title would be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC before March 31 of this year. However, it appears that this is not the case, as an update to the original report via a note from the publisher has instead indicated that it will be released during the next fiscal year, which begins in April.

This all stems from last year’s annual report on the title that came out this fiscal year, as well as a recent interview from GamesIndustry.biz with THQ Nordic CEO Klemens Kreuzer. Kreuzer had apparently claimed that at first Biomutant would release this quarter, which apparently isn’t.

The video game, if you’re not familiar, has been described as “an open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG, featuring a unique martial arts style combat system that combines melee, shooting, and mutant skill action.” It was first announced in 2017 with different trailers and looks since then. While it was initially expected to come out in 2018, it has been delayed several times.

Biomutant is expected to be released sometime in 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the upcoming video game here.
