Billie Eilish admits that ‘it took’ six weeks to achieve ‘her new platinum blonde look

She previously admitted wearing a wig for the past few months to hide her newly lightened locks.

And Billie Eilish opened up a bit more about her secret hair coloring experience on Saturday when she did a Q&A for fans in her Insta Stories.

The 19-year-old singer-songwriter said she had to keep the new haircut under control as it had to be lightened gradually over six weeks to achieve the perfect platinum blonde shade.

A fan asked Billie why she had kept her hair hidden for so long, and she replied, “Because it took six weeks to get there … this was the first round.”

Accompanying her answer was a photo from January 16 showing silvery platinum hair at her roots turning to a red hue further down her locks.

While wearing wigs to hide her hair was probably irritating, taking it slowly turned out to be the best option for her hair’s health as she gushed about how thick it looked after a fan asked if it was ‘damaged’ by it ‘bleaching process’. . ‘

“Honestly so healthy and I didn’t expect that at all,” she wrote with a photo of her platinum locks.

“It’s actually healthier than it’s been in a long time,” she added.

The photo showed her outdoors wearing a mask as she looked down to show off her hair and bangs.

The healthy hair was so voluminous it almost looked like a wig as her scalp was barely visible.

Last month, Billie’s hairstylist Lisa Renn wrote on social media that she had taken the time to lighten her client’s hair, which was then a deep black tone.

‘The process is real if you do it right. 6 weeks to get all the black from hair ends without damaging it along with hair following my strict hair care regimen. We actually liked all the stages of color lifting too, but the end result is [fire emoji]’she wrote through People.

The Bad Guy singer continued her blonde ambition tour earlier on Friday, when she unveiled a striking 60s-inspired hairstyle.

She posted a short clip to Instagram showing off her freshly shaved shoulder-length platinum locks.

As well as showing off the new trim, she also shared her stylish new eye-skimming bangs.

Billie’s video simply showed the pop wonder kid walking towards the camera while showing her default blank face.

She was swallowed up under a blue and white seersucker shirt that was buttoned up to her neck.

The otherwise modest shirt was enlivened with some peaceful images of doves flapping their wings.

Her new platinum locks were cut so that they rested subtly on her shoulders, with some extra hair falling down her back.

But the real stars of her new look were her bangs, cut to reach her lashes in a wispy strand.

The delicate locks stretched across her forehead, highlighting her sleepy eyes.

She let the clip do all the talking and just captioned it with a pigeon emoji that matched her shirt.

Around the same time, Billie posted a close-up selfie highlighting her lightened locks in her Instagram stories.

It may have been the beginning of the weekend, but she looked like she had a bad case of Mondays with her wiry facial expression partially hidden behind a white surgical mask.

She also wore an olive-colored sweatshirt and delicate gold chains.

The snap seemed to have been taken before her latest hair was cut as her bangs appeared thicker and longer.
