Better late than never.
More than eight years after initially giving up, Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have finally finalized their divorce – news that comes as rumors spread that she is engaged to her current boyfriend, Paul Bernon.
Page Six has confirmed that a judge signed the divorce on January 20.
Frankel and Hoppy – who are the parents of 10-year-old daughter Bryn – married in 2010 and split in December 2012. The founder of Skinnygirl filed for divorce a month later.
But their divorce and custody battles – including nasty allegations aired in court – have been raging for years.
Page six exclusively revealed in August 2019 that Hoppy and Frankel were still legally married. A divorce verdict could not be issued at the time due to a warrant of protection against Hoppy, who was charged with harassing and stalking Frankel in 2017, which led the Bravolebrity to request a change in custody of Bryn.
Hoppy agreed to a plea deal that required him to stay away from Frankel for six months to have the charges dismissed.
Then, in September 2020, Frankel appeared on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” and said she couldn’t think of marrying on-again, off-again boyfriend Paul Bernon because she was still linked to Hoppy.
“I’m still married,” Frankel, 50, admitted to a shocked Cohen. ‘Crickets again. And scene! And we are back! “
Now that Frankel’s divorce from Hoppy, 50, has been finalized, she is free to marry Bernon, whom she reunited with earlier this year.
Wedding bells may already be on the horizon. The BStrong founder caused an engagement buzz after she was photographed last week with a huge diamond ring on her left hand.
Bernon and Frankel started dating in 2018 after the death of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Dennis Shields. They broke up in the fall of 2020, with insiders telling us at the time that “it’s the distance, but you know Bethenny,” but have now reunited.
