It’s been an interesting week for the Chicago Bears. They’ve expanded a number of key players – in Cairo Santos and Pat O’Donnell – along with rumor of making a big impression on the quarterback position. There is an important player who is not yet to receive a contract. That player is Cordarrelle Patterson.
Patterson signed with the Bears in 2019, played a big role on special teams and was also a wide receiver. In two seasons, he has been targeted 42 times, catching 32 of those targets for 215 yards.
On the ground, Patterson saw more success last season with Tarik Cohen getting injured. In 81 attempts in the past two seasons, he has 335 meters and a hasty touchdown.
Patterson plays his big part in the return game, where he has been a two-time All-Pro. In the past two seasons, Patterson has had two touchdowns on 63 returns. He averaged 29.2 yards per return with 1,842 yards in total.
On Twitter, Patterson has had fun with Bears fans. He played the role of “Twitter GM”, recruiting players during the last two offseason seasons. This time – after pushing Russell Wilson to come to Chicago – Patterson is curious where he will play next season.
In a tweet replied to by Tarik Cohen and other Bears fans, Patterson had this to say, “Ready to see where I play next year.”
Ready to see where I play next year 🕺🕺🕺

Cohen had a nice offer to recruit his own “Twitter” GM.
Damn, I never thought I would have to recruit my own GM 😂

Fans are even willing to donate to pay his salary if Ryan Pace doesn’t.
Agree, we’re making a GoFundMe to pay your salary if Pace doesn’t

Kicker Brandon McManus offered a spot on the Broncos and told him to join him there.
Because you can’t score on me. You mine too, join me. Come to Denver

Hopefully, Patterson will remain a bear going into next season, although his tweet wasn’t exactly reassuring. He helped the Bears offense a lot in some big kick returns. Aside from returning from two touchdowns, he had a massive heads-up game where he got a foot out of the bounce before hitting the ball against the Packers in their week 17 matchup. That game gave Chicago the ball in the 40- yard line.
