Bayonetta 3 remains the game that many Nintendo fans would like to hear more about. After more than three years of silence, no important information about the upcoming action game has been disclosed outside of the original reveal trailer. Fortunately, if everything goes as planned this year, this trend should change.
In a new interview that came out recently, PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya spoke about it Bayonetta 3 a bit and teased fans with when they would finally learn more. Kamiya was asked about the status of some of Platinum’s current projects, then brought up the third installment in the action series. ‘Well, I guess … we’ve been working on new stuff, like Bayonetta 3, not that I can say too much, ”said Kamiya. “But I hope we can give an update during the year.”
Kamiya went on to say that he also hopes Platinum can update fans on some unannounced projects that the studio is also in the works. He acknowledged that he probably shouldn’t even have mentioned this last point, but he threw it out anyway. “The point is – I’m trying to do a lot of things this year,” he explained.
Even though there is still not much going on here with regard to Bayonetta 3In any case, it’s good to know that the game is reaching a point where those in charge at Platinum feel like showing off more to the public. Obviously, developers around the world have certainly had a much harder time with their jobs over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which may have played a role in why nothing has been out of the game lately shown.
When updates occur Bayonetta 3, it seems likely we’ll hear more in a Nintendo Direct presentation. At this point, Nintendo has not yet announced any plans to have any of these showcases in 2021. That said, Nintendo’s last Direct took place back in October, so we may be getting one soon.
