It’s almost May and Electronic Arts has a lot to say publicly about this year Battlefield 6The latest installment in the long-running shooter franchise is set to arrive later in 2021, but other than a handful of details, there’s still very little we know officially about the game. Fortunately, gaming insiders are behind us here.
Tom Henderson, someone who often has reliable information about franchises such as Call of Duty and Battlefield, recently shared some new information about the plot that will be present in Battlefield 6In particular, Henderson gave some more details about the setting and the conflict that will be central. According to Henderson, Battlefield 6 revolves around an entanglement between the United States and Russia. Your character is then a special agent from other ‘fallen nations’. Henderson claims that this “makes all nations playable in some capacity”.
The game plot is US vs Russia, but you play as specialized units from fallen countries. So all other countries are playable in some capacity. My best guess here is that Russia has conquered the island to use its resources and the US side is infiltrating / capturing it 🙂 https://t.co/lBt3HJmhT9

Henderson didn’t say much more about how this will affect the campaign Battlefield 6, because what he was talking about here relates specifically to the multiplayer aspect. It’s also worth stressing that what Henderson is saying here may very well not be true as we learn more about the game in the coming months. That said, his track record in the past probably tells us that this information is incredibly plausible.
Battlefield 6 still doesn’t have a release date, but it should release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC later this year. If you would like to read more about some of the leaked information we know about the title, please visit our coverage center for more information.
