Banned Uber attacker says she will take Lyft. Then Lyft bans her.

An unmasked woman who coughed an Uber driver in San Francisco and grabbed his cellphone in blasphemous fury admitted she was disrespectful but claimed the situation could have been avoided. (Watch the video below.)

Video of the confrontation went viral as police investigated. No arrests had been made since Tuesday, police told HuffPost. The names of the passengers have not been disclosed.

According to police, the driver picked up the three women on Sunday, but ended the trip shortly afterwards because they refused to wear a mask. Then the confrontation broke out, with one of the passengers coughing the driver, snatching his cell phone and removing his mask, while the two others yelled blasphemy and insults.

In a social media clip spotted by the San Francisco CBS affiliate on Tuesday, the coughing passenger gave her side of the story and downplayed her aggression. “All I did was take off his mask and cough a little,” she said.

“Okay, yes, I’m not going to lie,” she continued. “That was irreverent as fuck. I was wrong about that. But it could have been avoided. “

She accused the driver of trying to drop passengers off in an unsafe area. “He could have just waited and made sure we were safe,” she said.

She threatened to sue Uber, which in a statement Monday called the passengers’ behavior “terrible” and banned her. Then she spontaneously approved of Uber’s rival.

“That’s why I’m taking Lyft!” she stated.

Not anymore. Lyft also banned her.

“While this incident did not involve the Lyft platform, the unacceptable handling of the driver in this video forced us to permanently remove the driver from the Lyft community,” the company reporting rides said in a statement to KPIX. “Driving during a pandemic is not easy. Please wear a mask, respect each other and be a good person. “

The driver, Subhakar Khadka, said one of the women sprayed him with pepper spray as they exited the vehicle. Khadka, 32, from Nepal, also said the women were shouting bigoted comments because he is an immigrant.

In other videos leading up to the altercation, the women refuse to leave the vehicle until another Uber arrives, and Khadka threatens to let them leave “in the middle of the highway” if they don’t immediately leave the car, CBS noted.
