Bad Bunny is not the producer of the new El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico album

“That’s not true,” said Willie Sotelo, music director of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, to information suggesting that Bad Bunny would produce the orchestra’s new album.

The relationship of “Bad Rabbit” with the album “En cuarentena”, whose lead single was to be released on Friday, March 5, capitalizes on the fact that it will be released under the Rimas Entertainment record label, the same that the urban productions of music artists .

“We made an album, it’s called ‘In quarantine’ and this album was finished. We were looking for a label to release it and the Rimas label, the label with Bad Bunny, Tommy Torres …, they wanted to open a Latin division, and we finished our album, we met and they liked it, ”he told Sotelo in a telephone interview this morning.

Rimas Entertainment’s co-founder and CEO is Noah Assad, the manager of the famous rag, among other artists.

As part of this new agreement, the musician warned that no merger or collaboration with Bad Bunny was being considered.

“We are very happy with this album as we have achieved an album similar to ‘Here no one sitting down (1979)’,” said Sotelo. “All songs are catchy, and well Gran Combo style, we’re there in what El Gran Combo has always been.”

The disc was recorded with the COVID-19 prevention measures in Sotelo’s studio and on the cover members will wear their respective masks.

“I took it from a distance and everything was arranged according to the law. We had started recording in 2019 and when the pandemic came we had no more after what to do, we spend time on the album “said the pianist.” I think it’s going to be a good job and people are going to accept it very well. “

The first single, although not yet final, could be “El Combo del mundo”, which would begin playing on March 5th, and two weeks later the full album would be released in digital and physical format, including CD and vinyl .

It contains musical arrangements by Sotelo himself, but also by Isidro Infante. The compositions included Pedro Jesús, Luis’ Taty: Maldonado, Combo trumpet player, Peter Velázquez and Prodigio Claudio. The executive production matches the teacher Rafael Ithier.
