An Australian TikTok user had the perfect answer for an elderly woman who wanted to know why he used a disabled parking lot.
The man pulled out his prosthetic leg, according to his now viral reports of the incident on TikTok under the username @pnuks.
The woman had approached the one-legged younger man while he was still in his car, the exasperated man recalled.
“Obviously you can’t see my disability when I’m in the car,” the enraged man explained to viewers in his first of three videos.
“You are not the disabled police!” he said, referring to the woman.
“Even if someone doesn’t look old or doesn’t look handicapped enough, if they have this, shut up and walk away,” the man said, pointing to his viewer parking permit.
“The last thing you want to do is approach someone you don’t think looks disabled and they walk out of the car and you realize, ‘Holy crap, he’s missing a leg, he must be disabled.’ You look stupid, you look like a clown, ”added the man, who had no video of the actual encounter.
A banner above the video says, “Why do old people think they are the disabled police?”
The man later confronted the woman and shared that interaction in a follow-up video.
The footage shows the woman repeatedly urging him that she had the right to ask why he was eligible for the space, while the man screams about her.
“I need it separately, and there have been times …” she tells him before interrupting with a rant that ends with, “Never do that again!”
In the third clip, the man said he reported the woman to the police – and encouraged his followers to “tag McDonalds Australia so we can get the footage”.
He explained that it was the first time he had been confronted to prove his right to park on a handicap.
“This is why Boomers are bad,” he said. “Because for some reason old people are the only group of people who can be people with disabilities.”
