Without being brilliant, Deportivo Cali took a valuable 1-0 win over Chicó on Tuesday in Tunja, putting it partially in the leaders of the league.

After a hard week at the absence of his figure Agustín Palavecino, stunned by the flirtation of River and Palmeiras, and after the surprise home draw against Envigado the previous day, Cali’s fans and football claimed the Argentine’s presence.

And on the 10th, he returned, apparently after getting some things clear with the board, dressed in shorts, played and scored the winning goal.

In the first half, both teams had ball control.
However, the sugar bowls didn’t look good and were overtaken by the fast local players in some parts of the match.

After 14 minutes there was the first goal opportunity and that was on behalf of Chicó; Kevin Londoño overflowed on the left, steered the center and close by, Nelino Tapia caught who miraculously missed with his left footed shot.

Cali reacted and after 30 minutes, Marco Pérez lost an option in an incredible way, with all the bow at his disposal, as he shot hard and the ball went above the horizontal.

At the age of 33, they destroyed a goal against Chicó and shortly after the end of the first half, John Vásquez failed to complete an action on the left.

In the complement it was more of the same, with alternating dominance and some arrivals at the arches.

Until the sugar target game arrived, minute 65, center of John Vásquez and Palavecino’s appearance to send it to the back of the net.
Two minutes later, the tie was almost reached with a shot from Banguero, but Guillermo de Amores prevented the fall from his fence by sending the ball to the corner kick.

Later, no matter how much he tried El Chicó, he wasn’t enough to draw. He even finished with one less due to the expulsion of Diego Echeverri at the top of the match.

Meanwhile, Cali picked up on the defense, withstood the disorderly onslaught off the ground and emerged victorious with a score from the player who claimed the most fans: Agustín Palavecino.

The sugar producers now add 10 points, are leaders in the table and are encouraged to remain protagonists of the League.
