Ian Joshua Legorreta Chora was registered as a defender in the U-20 category of the Potosí team
Ian Joshua Legorreta Chora, player of the Athletic from San Luis Sub-20, died at sunrise on Sunday, April 18, as a result of a car accident on one of the main streets of the capital, Potosí.
According to reports from the Directorate-General of Public Security, they reported that according to the expert opinions conducted, the U-20 player’s vehicle was traveling at too high a speed along Av. Salvador Nava Martínez was driving, and without being able to drive the car, left the main street to crash into a tree.
The player of the Potosí team played in the U-17 category in the Apertura 2019 and Clausura 2020. In Guard1anes 2020 he was considered to belong to the U-20 subsidiary of the rojiblanco team and for this Guard1anes 2021 he played in the Premier League and in the regular tournament of the category, where he participated in three games with 209 minutes playing time.
Athletic from San Luis confirmed the young rojiblanco’s unfortunate death and made it clear that they will not elaborate on the situation that has arisen with the U-20 element.
“In this way, and with great regret, we inform you that our player who belongs to the U-20 category passed away today in a car accident. Guideline, technical staff and administrative staff join us in the punishment imposed on the family. Legorreta Chora and we wish a speedy resignation to this unfortunate event. Out of respect for the family and the unfortunate situation that this loss represents, no further statements will be made about this. “
The family of the young man from Mexico City was informed of the accident of the Atlético de San Luis defender and they are already in the capital of Potosí to carry out the corresponding procedures, assisted by the guidelines of the rojiblanco team.
