Ravel Morrison, one of the jewels of Manchester United’s youth academy a decade ago, and a former Atlas player, admitted to stealing Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand’s shoes. so that he can sell them and buy food for his family.
Speaking to Ferdinand, Morrison said that because of the salary he received at the time, as a youngster, he was committed to stealing the big boys’ boots from the locker room to feed his family.
“Each pair of boots was worth about £ 250. You would take a pair and go home and give your family a big dinner,” he said. Morrison who after stumbling across teams across Europe is now a free agent.
