Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Update adds deleted content

A new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update has been released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC adding the content that the last update removed because the update for it broke the game when adding it. If that sounds confusing, it’s because it is.

Last week, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update 1.2 released with abundant content. A few days later, some of this content was removed due to the game crashing. More specifically, the settlement decorations and Ostara Festival missions with decorations were all removed, making them no longer able to be completed. That said, with the last update, all of this content has been added back in, and now the content shouldn’t crash the game.

“We will be rolling out an update tomorrow, March 26 at 12:00 UTC to address the crashes that players have been facing since the release of the Ostara Festival,” Ubisoft writes. “Settlement decorations and decoration missions are reactivated with this update.”

For now, it remains to be seen whether the update will properly and completely resolve the crash issues related to the Ostara festival. That said, judging by the responses to the above tweet, this won’t be enough. Players, or at least some players, are not very happy with the state of the game, and this update does not fix this.
