Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Update 1.2 adds Transmog and more Cats

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s 1.2 update will arrive tomorrow and adds transmog so that players can finally wear whatever they want without hurting their stats while killing the English countryside.

With Transmog, or what Ubisoft calls “Change Appearance”, you can customize the look of every piece of gear at the Blacksmith Gunnar for a nominal amount of 50 Silver at a time. If you want the Assassin-y look of the Hidden Ones robes, but with the ranged armor bonus of the Huntsman armor set, Transmog finally lets you do that.

The system is common in MMOs such as World of Warcraft where players don’t want their fashion preferences to hinder their character building. It was a outcome Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also, which it also got in an update shortly after release. Maybe next Assassin’s Creed game can just be started right out of the box. Or whatever game.

Update 1.2 also adds new abilities, including Raven’s Loot, which allows your bird to loot targets after ranged kills, and a camera option for playing the game with a more over-the-shoulder look and feel. Update – 3:19 p.m. ET, 3/15/21: Tomorrow’s update has a long list of patch notes, in which the more important news is that Valhalla is finally get more cats.

  • There will now be more cats all over England. The best mess.
  • Foxes should no longer spawn in Lunden.
  • Fixed an issue where Ubisoft Connect Rewards were downgraded (i.e. Spartan Bow, Moonlight Ax).
  • Improved character physics behavior when climbing stairs. Clothes no longer go brrr.
  • Small boats will now catch fire when they throw torches at them.

You can pet the Viking cats and let them accompany you in your dinghy if you go for a robbery, and luckily there will be many more of them soon.
