December is well underway, meaning games across the country are unleashing a snowdrift and limited-time holiday-themed events. That includes Ubisoft’s viking ’em up Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which kicks off a Yule festival with an expanded settlement, new armor to don, and a few new holiday missions.
For starters, your settlement has grown and a place has emerged to host these seasonal festivities. There are a number of games to participate in including drunken brawls, a drinking competition and an archery competition. You will earn tokens for participating in the events that you can exchange for rewards such as the Mōdraniht ceremonial armor set and some settlement decorations.
Ubisoft note that to participate, you must have completed one of the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire storylines which I collect quite early. They also remind you that you can only earn these rewards during the Yule Festival, which has already started and will run through January 7th. Ubisoft has previously said that they are planning four total seasonal events during the first year of Valhalla, with the following events in the spring, summer and fall of 2021. There is a sneak peek of them, and the planned DLCs, in this trailer.
