The actor Armie Hammer, known for ‘Call Me By Your Name’ (2017), was one of the main protagonists of social networks this week for his alleged and controversial posts about extremely sexual content and for leaving the tape he would headline shortly after with Jennifer Lopez .

The strange soap opera about Hammer started last weekend when the actor’s alleged private messages appeared anonymously on the networks detailing some of his sexual fantasies, which in some cases were deeply disturbing.
“I have to drink your blood” or “I am one hundred percent cannibal” are some of those messages that Hammer supposedly wrote. The actor’s name was a global trend for days and a few days later he still is.
The controversy over Hammer continued on Wednesday when he announced that he would finally not be in “Shotgun Wedding,” the comedy in which he would share the spotlight with Jennifer Lopez.
Shotgun Wedding will tell the story of Darcy and Tom, a couple who face their upcoming wedding with many doubts and where their respective families do little to ease the situation. To complicate matters, the wedding ceases to be a celebration when all the guests undergo an attempted kidnapping.
After Hammer’s departure from this film, those responsible for the film will look for a new interpreter to continue the project. However, the actor took advantage of the “Shotgun Wedding” announcement to argue that the controversial messages were not his.
“I’m not responding to these damn lies, but in the face of the brutal and bogus Internet attacks against me, I can’t leave my kids in good conscience for four months to shoot a movie in the Dominican Republic,” told Variety magazine to try to shut down a controversy that is still very much alive in the networks.
