FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas. Arkansas announced on Wednesday that men’s basketball coach Eric Musselman has signed a new five-year deal that could keep him with the Razorbacks through the 2028 season.
The agreement comes a month after Arkansas hits its first NCAA tournament Elite Eight appearance in more than 25 years, runs from May 1 to April 2026, and includes the option for a few one-year automatic renewals if the Hogs receive NCAA tournaments. . bids “within the time frame of the agreement.”
“Coach Musselman deserved this opportunity based on the tremendous progress he and his coaching staff have made over the past two seasons, culminating in the most exciting season in recent Razorback basketball history,” said athletic director Hunter Yurachek.
Musselman will receive $ 4 million in annual compensation, with additional compensation available based on longevity and “success in the SEC and NCAA tournament.”

Musselman is 45-19 in two years in Arkansas and 155-53 in six years as a college head coach. This season, Arkansas advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1995, winning 25 games in total, including 13 in the SEC to finish second in the conference.
