After a difficult year on many levels, Bachelor stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham announced the happy news that they are expecting their second child on Saturday.
Arie, 39, shared the happy news on his Instagram account, with a lovely photo gallery featuring the couple’s one-year-old daughter Alessi Ren.
In the first photo, the proud parents were sitting on a sofa with their daughter in between, while Arie held up a sign that read ‘Big Sister July 2021’.

The second shot was a close-up of the cute little Alessi holding up the plate herself and smiling.
In the caption, the television personality wrote, ‘And then 2020 completely redeemed itself!’
The news comes after the couple shared in May that they had miscarried.

The couple shared a sobering video on their YouTube channel on May 30 to share the heartbreaking news.
Lauren explained that when she learned she was expecting less than a year after welcoming Alessi, there were complications during the pregnancy from the start.
Over the summer, Burnham opened up to Us Magazine about their focus on getting pregnant, saying she and her American-Dutch husband were in their second month of trying.

Burnham, who exchanged vows with Luyendyk in January 2019, once again revealed that they were trying to conceive again during an Instagram Q&A in September.
More recently, Arie said he got infected with COVID-19 around Thanksgiving.
He isolated from his wife and daughter as he recovered, while the couple happily reunited on Instagram for a hug.
