Arc System Works really gave Leo a dunking command handle in Guilty Gear Strive to make him even scarier than before

He keeps pretty much everything else too

Anyone who has fought a strong Leo player in Guilty Gear Xrd will likely still wake up sweating at night about how to try and block a king’s wild beast, and the developers are apparently doubling down on that portion of his gameplay .

Arc System Works has now released the starter guide for Leo Whitefang, as he will appear in Guilty Gear Strive, and they have seemingly made his backward stance even better than in the previous game.

Unlike Ramlethal, who had pretty much all of her specials turned into Strive, Leo largely remains the same in his moveset with his multi-hitting fireball, invincible inversion, and more at his disposal.

The main difference seems to be that his Kaltes Gestöber Erst rekka attacks were split into their own specials while they received the new Turbulenz ground explosion special about his Siegesparade from Xrd.

However, none of that matters as much as Leo’s Glanzendes Dunkel commando grab that he can use in his Brynhildr stance, so now his opponents will have to guess which way to block. and when a big throw comes to literally submerge them.

We’ll see in beta soon if Leo does a better job of defeating the enemy, but if / when he does, good luck to those staring at his back.
