Raleigh, NC – Apex police announced on Saturday evening that Emily Montgomery’s body has been found.
Montgomery, 26, was reported missing the day before Thanksgiving. Her body was found near block 7300 of ACC Boulevard in Raleigh on an industrial estate near Brier Creek.
Her body was sent to the state doctor’s office in Raleigh for an autopsy.
Montgomery’s friend, Jose Carlos Jacome-Granizo, 29, from Raleigh, was charged with first degree murder on December 10.
If convicted of the crime, he will face life in prison or the death penalty.
Montgomery was the mother of a 5-year-old boy.
Police have not released any more information to the public at this time.
