Apex Legends Trident Glitch is causing problems on Olympus

A Apex Legends The player has discovered a bizarre malfunction on the Olympus map that sent them flying into the air, unable to return to the game. As a result, the game crashed for both the player and all of their teammates. Reddit user Jolly-Moment shared a video of the glitch, in which a collision with a Trident vehicle causes the player to suddenly appear far in the sky. While on the air, the Jolly-Moment screen told them to “Get back in the ring,” but there was no way to do that. The player tried to make the most of the situation by firing at the card, but to no avail.

A video of the glitch can be found in the Reddit post embedded below.

This was a game-breaking experience (literally all our games crashed after this) from r / apexlegends

Given the specific circumstances that caused this glitch, it doesn’t seem like this is the kind of problem that is most common Apex Legends players will have to worry. Lots of minor issues tend to slip through the cracks during the development process as it’s difficult to test for every possible scenario. While this certainly seems to be frustrating for any player to come across, most fans probably don’t need to worry about avoiding it.

Olympus is the third card in Apex Legends, and it was added to the game as part of last month’s Season 7 update. Olympus is a floating city above the planet Psamathe and allows players to travel around the map with the Trident vehicles. Normally running over another player won’t do actual damage to the opponent, but this time it was clearly a little different! Considering that the card is relatively new, Jolly-Moment got the chance to see everything Olympus has to offer from a nice top view. It’s just a shame that they couldn’t enjoy the sights anymore after the crash!

Apex Legends is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A Nintendo Switch version of the game has also been announced, but a release date has not been confirmed. You can view all of our previous coverage of the game here.
