Apex Legends Fight Night event patch notes

It’s been quite a few weeks Apex LegendsPathfinder. Last week, the grappling robot got a fantastic animated short about its origin story, and this week it’s getting its own in-game event. The new event is called Fight Night, and it brings a few boxing-themed twists to regular matches of Apex Legends.

The biggest change in the Fight Night event is the new limited-time mode called Airdrop Escalation. This new mode is what developer Respawn Entertainment calls a “Takeover” mode, meaning it will replace the normal “Play Apex” mode for a limited time. For the most part, Airdrop Escalation will be just like regular battle royale, except it will feature a lot more airdrops, all with fully equipped weapons.

Every match of Airdrop Escalation starts with a few airdrops scattered around the map, and each round more are dropped from space onto the battlefield. Each of these come with high-quality loot and weapons with all their attachments.

As for the more Pathfinder-specific parts of the event, there is also Pathfinder’s Town Takeover, where players can enter a battle ring to battle each other in hand-to-hand combat. Inside the ring, which is called Ring on the map, players can only use their fists as weapons, and no one can shoot or throw grenades to interrupt the fight. Those who survive can pick up some extra loot and leave the ring with their loot.

Finally, the Fight Night event also includes a few balance updates for Apex Legends, including a buff for both Rampart and Caustic. There is also a nice quality of life improvement that allows you to automatically use Ultimate Accelerants without opening your inventory. When you cool down Ultimate, all you have to do is press the button to activate it and your character will use an Ultimate Accelerant instead.

Apex Legends Fight Night event patch notes

Legends

Wal

  • Amped Cover: Cooldown reduced from 30 seconds to 20 seconds

Corrosive

  • Nox Gas Trap: Cooldown decreased from 25 seconds to 20 seconds

Weapons

Hemlok

  • Damage changed from 22 to 20

Mastiff

  • Scatter 3rd / 4th pellets to narrow the maximum range of 4 pellet hits (was +/- 7.5 degrees, now +/- 10)

Prowler

  • Reserve bullets increased from 175 to 210

Quality of life

  • Ultimate Accelerants can now be used without opening your inventory. If your Ultimate is currently unavailable, simply press the button (or buttons on a controller) to activate it, and you’ll pull out any saved Accelerant from your inventory and use it automatically.
  • In a lobby, if a party member leaves the lobby for any reason, all party members are marked as ‘not ready’. This should prevent accidental launch into a match when your buddy swings out for a second.
  • The legendary “Mark All As Seen” button has been added. Click on this to get rid of the annoying (I mean useful) red dots.
  • Pinging the nearest respawn beacon (from spectators) now always pings the nearest beacon unless you don’t have enough time to use it before the ring closes over it, instead of defaulting to the nearest beacon in the next safe ring .
  • We’ll now show you how many Treasure Packs it takes to get the next Comics. This should just make it easier for people looking for the new piece of knowledge to know how far away they are.
  • Caustic should now slam the door with his Heirloom hammer instead of his leg, if available.
  • We’ve added a little bit of information to the Find Friends box to describe a situation where your friend might not be found due to their EA Account settings.
