Another police officer commits suicide because of family problems in his home in Santa Ana | News from El Salvador

The police officer was stationed at the Texistepeque police station. He committed suicide at his home in Santa Ana So far in January, three police officers committed suicide by shooting themselves with their team weapons.

A police officer stationed in Texistepeque, identified as César Adonay Sanabria, 52, committed suicide at his home last Saturday at 9:30 p.m., according to police sources.

Sanabria was stationed in the Texistepeque police sub-delegation, Santa Ana branch, where he was known as El Mágico. The incident took place at the police officer’s home, located in the Bella Vista neighborhood.

With this suicide, there have been six cases of police elements who have killed their lives since November 28 last year. According to police sources, the suicides were in most cases preceded by family arguments.

In January alone, three police officers committed suicide by shooting themselves with their team weapons.

Another case is being investigated as alleged suicide. This is that of a police officer who was hospitalized for poisoning after leaving the police facilities where he was assigned without permission.

Case by case for the past two months

On November 28, José Abraham Morales Lara, unleashed in the delegation from San Salvador Sur (San Marcos), shot himself with his team weapon after arguing with his partner.

On December 15, Victor Hugo Alfaro Paula, stationed at Comalapa Airport, shot himself in the head with his team weapon after an argument over family issues.

On December 28, it was Officer Gustavo Ernesto Mejía Rosales who, while drunk, shot himself in the heart. This agent was stationed in the Candelaria de la Frontera sub-delegation, Santa Ana branch.

Then, on January 3, Sergeant Fredy Ernesto Flores Guzmán, 52, decided to commit suicide at his home in Ciudad Delgado after he had problems with his wife and she asked him for a divorce.

On January 8, the suicide of Corporal Jorge Alberto Renderos was reported. This element was on display in the Department of Technical and Scientific Police (DPTC), in the San Francisco neighborhood.
