Another jetpack spotted off the coast of SoCal – and this time there’s video

LOS ANGELES – Another sighting of a jetpack flying over the Los Angeles area has been reported, a recurring mystery reported by pilots that had not been captured on video until now.

An instructor from a local flight school captured images of what appears to be the elusive “jetpack man” flying off the coast of Palos Verdes at an altitude of about 3,000 feet.

There have been at least two jetpack sightings by commercial pilots flying near Los Angeles International Airport this year, although no recordings have been made.

The FAA and the FBI are investigating those earlier sightings because jet packs can pose a threat to aircraft.

The new images have been posted by Sling Pilot Academy.

In late August, two commercial airline pilots reported seeing someone in a jetpack near planes around LAX.

Another sighting was reported over Century City in October by a China Airlines crew.
