Joao Leandro Rodríguez is 24 years old and although he is from Cali and started playing on the fields of Valleys, he has spent most of his football career abroad.

Rodríguez returns to Colombian football this time to donate America’s Red, a signing that the scarlet fans received with doubt, waiting for the player to finally explode in football and be able to contribute to the team.

Joao started at Deportes Quindío and later moved to the now-defunct Uniautónoma. But later, when he was very young, he embarked on a journey through many foreign teams and was able to consolidate into very few.

At the time, it was said that Rodríguez had been taken over by Chelsea and that this team loaned him to other clubs to give him a European flavor.

He was with Bastia in France, with Vitoria Setúbal in Portugal, in the unknown Sint Truidense in Belgium, then he returned to Colombia to play in Santa Fe and later in Cortuluá.

After these two experiences, he returned abroad to sign for Tampico Madero of Mexico’s Second Division, from there he went to Central Córdoba of Argentina, returned to Mexico to serve as a member of the Necaxa ranks and now he returned to Colombia where he will play in America.
