That Animal Crossing: New LeafSanrio Collaboration Amiibo cards, previously only available in Japan and the EU, are finally arriving in the US on March 26. Nintendo first announced their US release in January, but now the company is giving you a glimpse of what you can get when you grab the collaboration pack. The game giant has posted videos on YouTube and Twitter featuring the villagers to add to your town, as well as the Sanrio-themed items that can be purchased from the in-game store when you scan the amiibo cards.
There are six villagers you can add to your city by scanning the maps, each of which gives you access to specific Sanrio items. For example, the Rilla card adds Hello Kitty-themed furniture and wallpapers to the list of items available for purchase. You will also get items based on My Melody, Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll and Kerokerokeroppi with the other villagers. Each theme offers a different set – the Cinnamoroll items have tablets, umbrellas and signage for a cafe, while the Kerokerokeroppi themes include a bridge and koi pond for a Japanese garden.
The New leaf The Sanrio pack will be available exclusively through Target for $ 6 on March 26. In Canada, it is sold by retailers, including Best Buy, for CA $ 7.
