Animal Crossing: New Horizons adds Japanese Seasonal Items from Setsubun

Yesterday Nintendo announced a new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives this week on January 28.

Besides Festivale, new reactions and new clothing, there will also be a lot of seasonal events. First, there is the Japanese tradition of Setsubun. To celebrate this occasion, a Bean-Tossing Kit is available until February 3rd. From February 1, there will also be an Oni (Orge) costume at the Able Sisters.

This same event was previously available in Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS. It looks like you can now throw beans in villagers’ houses too. Learn more about Animal Crossing’s next big update: New Horizons in our previous post.
