Limited-time seasonal items are now available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. From now until February 14, players can order two special Valentine’s Day items: a chocolate heart and a heart-shaped bouquet.
Both items can be purchased from the Seasonal tab in Nook Shopping and cost 1,200 bubbles each. A number of other seasonal items are also available through February 3, including a soccer rug and a cheerleaders megaphone to celebrate the Super Bowl.
The new season items arrived as part of Animal Crossing’s January update, which also added the Festivale event to the game. That will take place later this month, on February 15th. As part of the event, Pave the dancing peacock will visit your island, and you can catch feathers of different colors and exchange them for rewards.
Hello! Now that February is here, we are less than two weeks away from Valentine’s Day on the 14th. Nook Shopping has some great Valentine’s Day items in stock for a limited time – I hope you find just the right one for your Valentine … or for yourself! pic.twitter.com/x3qx06Ny16
In the run-up to Festivale, the Able Sisters and Nook’s Cranny sell festive clothing and furniture. You can also buy a new reaction set and anyone who installs the January update will receive a set of maracas in the mail as a free gift from Nintendo.
In other news: Animal Crossing: New Horizons has surpassed more than 30 million copies sold, making it the first console-exclusive game in history to reach that milestone in a calendar year. That also makes New Horizons the second best-selling first-party Switch game to date, behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which moved 33.41 million on December 31.
