Andrew Kaczynski for pouring out support after a baby girl’s death

A heartbroken CNN reporter whose 9-month-old baby girl died on Christmas Eve after a three-month battle with cancer has pledged to spend his life trying to find a cure for the brutal disease.

Andrew Kaczynski, who is married to Wall Street Journal reporter Rachel Louise Ensign, sent a message of thanks on Saturday evening to those who expressed support after the death of their daughter Francesca, nicknamed them ‘Bean’.

“Thank you all, your messages touched our hearts,” he tweeted.

The doting dad also shared a video of the sparkling, radiant babe from before she was ravaged by cancer.

“I know a lot of you didn’t know Beans before her cancer diagnosis in September. She had so much zest in her step before starting the treatment. And we are so lucky that she got six normal months of life. This was from the end of July, ” he wrote, tweeting a short clip from Bean, squirming and giggling in her crib.

The couple had asked for donations in Bean’s honor, and Kaczynski added a link to a cycling event that raised money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where Bean was being treated.

“We are so grateful for how much money has been raised in Francesca’s honor for Dana Farber to fight this terrible disease and we will spend the rest of our lives finding a cure,” he wrote.

More than $ 338,000 has been raised.
