Corey Kluber (0-2) did his best to keep New York in the fight. He had his most remarkable start to date with the Yankees.

However, the “Bronx Bombers” seemed oblivious to that nickname and fell for the sixth time in seven games, with a line-up full of stars who didn’t wake up.

Anderson (1-0) limited the Yankees to four hits and the same number of walks in 6 2/3 innings. He struckout four batters facing the club he also defeated on his Major League-debut last season.

The 22-year-old right-handed hit 97 throws on a night when the temperature dropped to 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4.44 degrees Celsius).

New York loaded the bases off Anderson with two outs in the seventh, but reliever AJ Minter forced DJ LeMahieu to hit third base to end the inning.

Will Smith allowed a touchdown in the ninth installment, but ended the five-hit task.

The Yankees have hit .163 in their last seven games, averaging 2.57 runs per game.

For the Braves, Venezuelans were Ehire Adrianza 2-0 with an RBI, Pablo Sandoval 4-1 with a run scored. Marcell Ozuna 4-0 with two RBI’s. The Cuban Guillermo Heredia 2-0.

For the Yankees, Colombian Gio Urshela 3-1. Venezuelans Rougned Odor 1-0, Torres 4-1. The Dominican Gary Sánchez 3-0.
