Ana De Armas makes it absolutely clear that she is not back with Ben Affleck

Like Which cardboard cutout, the relationship between Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas is still very much lurking.

Months after two, the stars broke up after less than a year of dating, and probably gallons of shared Dunkin ‘iced coffee between them, speculation that they had reconciled, swirled across the internet.

It all started when the “Knives Out” actor posted a seemingly standard selfie on Instagram with her post-Ben Bob last weekend. In the photo, she was wearing a necklace with a half heart pendant, next to a heart emoji.

Eagle-eyed fans noted that Affleck and De Armas often wore identical versions of the accessory in the deluge of paparazzi photos of the former couple during their whirlwind summer quarantine romance. When the two called it quits in January, many assumed the jewelry would be placed on ice, a quickly forgotten symbol of a cold love.

So fans were immediately convinced that the chain’s resurgence in De Armas’ selfie indicated that she and Affleck were giving it another try.

But it turns out that a chain might just be a chain.

After sharing the photo, De Armas followed the post with another Instagram story with a slew of stickers saying ‘no’, ‘no’ and ‘I don’t think so’ on a black screen, next to a two peace sign with fingers, seemingly halting the speculation.

While it certainly looks like De Armas is single at the moment, reports described her breakup with Affleck as relatively friendly and seem to have stayed close.

“This was something that was mutual and something that is completely amicable,” an unnamed source told People at the time, adding that two and two “still talk regularly.”

“They are at different points in their lives; there is deep love and respect, ”the source told the outlet. “Ben still wants to work on himself. He has three jobs in a row and he is a solid father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives. “

Neither side has publicly discussed the split. Quite unexpectedly, Justice League actor Casey Affleck’s brother was the most outspoken.

After denying that he was the one to throw a cardboard cutout of De Armas in the trash, the younger Affleck openly admitted that “this year has been very difficult for people in relationships.”

“I think she’s a catch in every way,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” of De Armas. “And I’ll be there to help Ben through it, but I don’t think he’s going to have any problems [either]My advice to them would be like, ‘Yeah, think about it a lot, because quarantine is no fun when you’re single.’ ”
