Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has overcome covid-19. The president announced it in a video on his social networks in which he appears on the steps of the National Palace. “I was tested for antigens this morning and already came out negative. I have to wait a few more days, but I am already in good health and recovering from the covid, ”he noted in the message. López Obrador, 67, announced on January 24 that he was infected and that he was starting to have mild symptoms of the disease.
The politician thanked the statements of support from his followers, the leaders of other countries and several politicians during his recovery. “We are moving forward,” he said in his message still looking exhausted. López Obrador’s health has been practically a mystery since he announced his diagnosis through his social networks. This month we are going to vaccinate en masse ”, he said. López Obrador has insisted that the first group to be vaccinated should be over 60s, as agreed with health authorities.
