They met as contestants on Season 16 of American Idol in 2018 and were married in October 2019.

And on Monday, Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner announced that they have welcomed their first child, a girl named Baylah May.

The couple revealed on Instagram that their daughter had arrived on January 18 and posted a photo of the swaddled child with her face hidden behind a large pacifier.

Barrett, 20, said: “I had a really great week with our newest addition … meet our girl Baylah May Foehner 1.18.21.”

Foehner, 24, posted a longer message expressing his gratitude for becoming a father.

He wrote, “The Lord Jesus has given me so much that I can hardly believe it. Not only to be saved from sin because of His gospel, but to have a wife who is not only my best friend in all the world, but who has given birth to me a child. ‘

He added, “I am a blessed man beyond my understanding.”
