A missing 10-year-old girl whose mother was found dead early Wednesday morning has been found safe and her father is in custody.

Carrollton police said shortly before 11 a.m. that Rosemary Lee Singer had been located with the help of police in Red Oak and Dallas.

The child’s father, 35-year-old Ronald Lee Singer, has been taken into custody and is expected to be charged with murder for the death of the girl’s mother, his ex-wife.

Statewide, an Amber Alert was issued for the woman’s child on Wednesday morning after police heard about her mother and was murdered and she was picked up from a friend’s house by her biological father.

Police say Singer has ties to the Hillsboro area, but there is no definitive information on where he is located.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or has information about the father’s and child’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or 972-466-3333.
