Alma Wahlberg, the mother of actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg and star of the reality show “Wahlburgers”, died at the age of 78.
Mark took to Instagram on Sunday to share the news of his mother’s death with his followers and to honor her.
‘My angel. Rest in peace, ‘he wrote next to a photo of his deceased mother.
Donnie also took to Instagram to honor his late mother by sharing a video featuring footage of her from their reality show, along with a lengthy caption praising the family’s matriarch.

“I am so blessed to have been brought into this world, educated by, taught by and set on my life path by such a wonderful woman,” he captioned it. “My mother Alma’s joy for life, love and people – combined with a pride in her humble beginnings and refusal to forget where she came from – no doubt shaped me into the man I am.”
He then spoke directly to Alma’s character, highlighting the difficulties she had in raising him and his many brothers.
“She was without a doubt the most loving person I have ever known. I have never heard her say or do anything disrespectfully to anyone. She was, as anyone who ever met her knows, really blue, ‘Donnie wrote. Like so many mothers who struggled, overcame all odds, made something out of nowhere and made the impossible for their kids, she never complained. She did what needed to be done, usually with a smile. . “

He concluded, “It’s time to rest peacefully, Mom. I love you, miss you, thank you and will celebrate, today and forever. Forever – your Baby Donnie.”

People note that Donnie previously shared a post on social media informing the public that Alma’s health was deteriorating and that she was suffering from dementia.
