And on Friday, TV Line reported that a revival of Ally McBeal is currently in the works, with titular star Calista, 56, looking to return.
The fantastic comedy drama followed an overly imaginative lawyer as she navigated the ups and downs of both her personal and professional life.

The show lasted for five seasons until 2002 and starred, among others, Vonda Shepard, Portia de Rossi, Lucy Liu, Courtney Thorne Smith and Gill Bellows.
Show creator David E. Kelley has previously cited his support for a reboot of McBeal, but has insisted that a woman is the main creative force behind the new iteration.
I would be open to the idea of Ally McBeal being done again, but I don’t think it should be done by me. If it happened, it really should be done by a woman, ” Michelle Pfeiffer’s husband told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018.

However, Kelley would remain on board as an executive producer.
It’s not yet clear if Flockhart, who is married to Harrison Ford, is already in official negotiations to resume her lead role.

The news of Ally McBeal’s revival comes as countless’ 90s shows have seen new life, from the ill-fated reboot of Roseanne (now The Conners) to Mad About You and Will & Grace.
Plus, fans are waiting for an in-the-works update to the HBO hit series Sex And The City due out later this year.
Although McBeal originally ran on Fox, there is no current network or streaming platform associated with the reboot yet.
