Akshay Kumar reveals FAU-G trailer, netizens come up with PUBG memes

Akshay Kumar on Sunday unveiled the trailer for a multiplayer game titled FAU-G: Fearless and United Guards, which will support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat movement. The game aims to provide an Indian alternative to PUBG Mobile which has been banned in India along with 117 other apps. Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce FAU-G’s anthem and wrote, “Whether it’s a problem in the country or at the border… these Bharat Ke Veer are always high. They are our Fearless And United Guards, our FAU-G Witness the national anthem. ”The game is set to release on January 26, 2021, the 72nd day of the Republic of India. The new PUBG alternative has been announced by the developer nCore Games and will be developed under Kumar’s mentorship. The game is expected to be based on real-life scenarios the Indian security forces have faced to face both domestic and foreign threats and will be available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The government banned the multiplayer action game PUBG on September 2, and it was pulled from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in India as per the Indian government’s guideline. PUBG was banned by order of the Ministry of Information and Technology (MeitY), which also banned 117 other popular apps from China due to national security concerns.

But it seems some Indians are not ready to welcome FAU-G yet as they still cannot overcome the PUBG fever. They started sharing PUBG memes the day the FAU-G anthem was released online. Look.

PUBG Mobile saw a global revenue increase of $ 1.3 billion (approximately Rs 9,731 crore) in the first half of this year, bringing its lifetime collection to $ 3 billion (nearly Rs 22,457 crore) with the highest number of downloads in India, which topped the stands with 175 million installations because people stayed at home as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns.
