Every time Jay-Z makes a business move, the Rap mogul’s intentions are questioned. It happened when he announced he was going to buy Tidal, it happened when he announced his partnership with the NFL, and new talks are underway as it is revealed that Jay and Jack Dorsey have come up with a landmark deal for Square, Inc. to acquire majority stake in Tidal – a handshake that reportedly made Jay-Z nearly $ 300 million richer. Akademiks has a choice with Jay-Z, however, as the blogger calls him out for allegedly playing on both sides of the pitch.

After praising Jay as a “ great businessman, ” Akademiks had a few criticisms of the Roc Nation mogul. Jay-Z bought a company, he said it was for Black makers. He said people shouldn’t support Apple and Spotify because they are owned by White and he wanted something for the culture, for the artists, for the artists., and he wanted to keep it owned by Black and he wanted to do it that way He did a lot of B-Side concerts and it wouldn’t be about Black excellence, Black Power, you should support him because he’s a Black company, although we found out later when they went to Tidal’s headquarters in Sweden, virtually none of the employees or senior executives at Tidal were black. ”

Akademiks noted that Jay struck a Tidal deal with Sprint, where he reportedly walked away hundreds of millions, and now the rest of his stock now belongs to Square. “The Tidal owned by Black is now owned by Jack Dorsey, the white man.” He accused Jay-Z of being an ‘bait and switch’ businessman, adding, ‘That’s the one thing I don’t like about the way he does things. ‘

“He’s not doing it for black people, he’s doing it for his own selfish means,” Akademiks said. Swipe below to see more of Akademiks analyzing Jay-Z’s moves and let us know if you agree or disagree with his opinion.
