Agustín Palavecino, Deportivo Cali midfielder, traveled to Buenos Aires on Thursday afternoon to become a new player for the mighty River Plate.
While there is still no official statement confirming the transfer, the ‘millionaire’ team has already reached an agreement with the sugar team, where the talented midfielder has excelled since 2019.
The transaction for 50% of the Argentine rights would have been completed for $ 2.6 million.

Arias insists on replacement
Alfredo Arias, the Cali coach, insisted this week that he needs another reinforcement to replace Palavecino. The Uruguayan strategist has already submitted the request to the board of directors.
“The board knows my position, with Palavecino’s first leg we lost 15 goals last year. I would like a player to join the attackers, ”he said.
Uruguayan midfielder Pablo Cepellini sounds like one of the options to join the team.
