Aggression at Luis Muñoz Marín Airport for wearing a mask

Authorities reported they arrested a tourist on Wednesday for refusing to use the mask and attacking an employee at Luis Muñoz Marín Airport in Carolina.

Prosecutor Xavier Vélez indicated that a man from Boston, identified as Willie Watson, 24, did not follow his instructions regarding the use of the mask and immediately attacked him with his right hand on the face and chest while he was placed under arrest by agents attached to the Airport Precinct.

According to preliminary information, the incident took place in the afternoon in the arrivals hall of terminal A of the airport.

The case has been consulted with the prosecutor Sonia Polanco, who ordered the filing of Article 108 CP (Aggression). The evidence was presented to Carolina District Court Judge Wilfredo Viera, who established the cause and deposited a $ 50,000 bail bond, which he has not provided at this time.
