Bills 3-0 Chiefs, 6:40 AM 1st Quarter
There goes Allen – he steps in the pocket and is on his way to an 18-yard scramble to the Buffalo 39!
But now Allen finds himself – WAY BACK. KC pressure forces Allen into a major decline – Sneed has a large 15-meter pocket. Why didn’t he throw it away?
Now Buffalo has a 3rd and a long, long 23 meters. Allen is running again, until about 40 and the bills will have to kick.

Bills 3-0 Chiefs, 9:13 1st quarter
Allen starts in the shotgun, drops back and fires across the center at Driggs who cannot hold on after being hit by Tershawn Wharton.
On 2nd and 10th Singletary runs for seven and now it’s 3rd and 3.

Bills 3-0 Chiefs, 9:58 Q1
Mahomes is looking for his main man Tyreek Hill – he lets it float in his hands, but he drops it! So the bills survive their first test. The stairs are up to 15, where Buffalo takes over.

Accounts 3-0 Chiefs, 10:13 1st quarter
Short stairs – what’s going on there? Byron Pringle takes it to 35 after a return from 24 yards.
A short pass to Kelce for a meter, then a run in the middle through Helaire. Now it is 3rd and 4.

FIELD PURPOSE! Accounts 3-0 Chiefs, 11:27 1st Quarter
Bass kicks on natural grass, making it look easy and the Bills strike first. Now all eyes are on Patrick Mahomes.

Bills 0-0 Chiefs, 11:32 1st Quarter
On 3rd and 3rd, Allen looks for Beasley on the sidelines and he is almost taken away. The drive stops, here comes a 51 yard attempt from Tyler Bass.

Bills 0-0 Chiefs, 1:18 PM 1st quarter
It’s 3rd & 7. CBS tells us Buffalo has the best third down foul in the league. Let’s see.
Allen faces the pressure and whips it to Sorensen who makes the catch, but a fist falls short of one yard.
They go for it!
Allen – a quick flip to Dawson Knox the tight end and he rumbles to the Chiefs 40. Down first and a good driver to start for Buffalo!

Kick-off!
You see, I wasn’t kidding. We left. The Bills have it at 25 to start – a one yard win from Singletary is Buffalo’s first game of scrimmage. Then Allen hits Beasley who shoots through the middle. That’s a profit of 17, and the bills are on the move and are at 43.

Prediction time
The bills get 3.5 points in Vegas, but I don’t think they will need it. I like what Buffalo did against the run last week and now that their pass defense is already strong they can play another good game against Mahomes, just like they did in week six. Besides, Mahomes has a concussion and has that peat toe.
It’s an unpopular opinion, but I think Buffalo can find a way to get this thing out and give West New York a fifth Super Bowl appearance with a win at Arrowhead.
Final score: 27-23, and you can print it! (I just did).
Even though the result is set in stone, we still have to go through the formality of playing the game.
The AFC Championship is almost here. Please wait.

The weather factor
These folks are used to the worst the weather gods can bring them, but the Bills and Chiefs are taking a break tonight. KC will be about 37/3 degrees, reasonable for this time of the year. There is a chance of some rain, though, which can be fun. The kick-off is coming soon.

Tom Brady is back in the Super Bowl – with a new team!
Does this mean that Brady wins the winner more important to the Patriots dynasty’s pub chat? That’s a lot for next week, but here’s another question: Does this mean that Brady has surpassed what Joe Montana did with his new team 27 years ago. I know, it’s a pretty strange question – stick with me.
Legendary Joe Montana, who won four Super Bowl rings with the 49ers, had made a similar move to the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993. In his first season with Arrowhead, Montana brought KC all the way to the brink of Super Bowl XXVIII, lost, yes, the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.
In the past off-season, when all the rumors that Brady would leave the patriots were rampant, Montana had this to say:
If you don’t have to, don’t do it. It’s a process to go through, and it takes time to get used to the team … I just can’t see how they would let him leave there themselves.
Well, the Patriots let Brady fly, and now the quarterback who should be considered the greatest of all time has taken it one lap further than Montana did with his new team.
Who will Brady compete against in SBLV, at the home of Bucs, Raymond James Stadium? Kick-off is coming – stay with us.

Battle for the sauces!
If the Bills / Chiefs tilt isn’t enough for you, how about KC BBQ sauce vs Buffalo Wings sauce. It’s a tantalizing battle between spicy and vinegar versus the slightly sweet and spicy rib condiment.
If you were looking for a taste test in Buffalo last week, you might run into a supply problem – that’s because Dash’s market has pulled all KC BBQ sauce off their shelves, out of spite and for a good cause. There was also the usual bet between local mayors.
Personally, I’m a sucker for Buffalo Wings, and now I’m hungry – send wings please!
The smoke sheet
(@thesmokesheet)This weekend it’s KC BBQ vs Buffalo Wings. Good guess @RTLnews & @BuienRadarNL https://t.co/5kgcIgjavf

The last time
I said Buffalo would have a 12-game winning streak if there wasn’t a slight loss against Arizona. That would make the Bills the last loss to KC in week six. In that matchup, it wasn’t Mahomes who lit Buffalo, but rather KC’s rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who ran 161 yards through a rammed Bills line, with Mahomes at a modest 225 yards. Josh Allen had what was arguably his worst day of the season, passing just 122 yards when the Chiefs won 26-17. Of course, Allen has done a lot better since then, and so has Mahomes who led Kansas City to a 14-2 record. Below you can see the highlights of that game.
Oh, and did you know the NFC Championship was also a week six re-match? Is that a coincidence, or maybe something more …?
The Chiefs defeated Buffalo 26-17 in week six.

Hello!
Welcome to our coverage of the AFC Championship. We’ve got a hefty nightcap (morning? Noon?) In store for you with the Buffalo Bills, who are trying to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1993 and take on the Kansas City Chiefs, the current holders of the NFL’s prized piece of metal. .
The chiefs for a dynasty almost took a nasty turn against the Browns last week when they survived a late rally from Cleveland. They were not saved by the exploits of their all-Galaxy quarterback Pat Mahomes, but rather by his replacement, Chad Henne. KC’s backup somehow found a way to get its Chiefs to safety with some timely and unlikely plays when the clock in Arrowhead was ticking.
The Chiefs’ survival means they are still in the running for a second consecutive Super Bowl ring, a prospect that seems considerably more likely now that we know that Mahomes will be under center against Buffalo, a fact that was anything but assured until he broke through. the concussion protocol late in the week.
And they’ll be up against the Bills, who if they weren’t for a salute Mary from a loss in Arizona, they’d be riding a 12-game winning streak in the AFC Championship. Much of that gain is down to fast-evolving Josh Allen and his chief battery mate, Stefon Diggs, aka the best off-season pickup truck of the year.
Last week, Buffalo transformed their porous run defense into a fairly formidable unit, one that kept the slick Lamar Jackson at just 34 yards when the Bills saw Baltimore in the Divisional round. Against KC, the challenge will of course be raised a number of times, as they try to do something that few defenses in this era have done to KC: slow the juggernaut.
We have a few apps for you before the main course comes out (don’t fill up) when we’re ready for kickoff. In the meantime, feel free to @me – or send me an email with all your thoughts and feelings, predictions and all.
For now, I strongly encourage you to check out Hunter and his NFC Championship coverage from the Bucs and Packers as well.

David is coming soon. In the meantime, here’s a preview of today’s game:
What the bills have to do to win: The Chiefs can do so much damage, so quickly, through the air with the likes of Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, that it is an option to encourage them to go to the run game, perhaps by not packing the box . Josh Allen has evolved beyond recognition in a short space of time, in part due to the array of weapons he has, from the nearly impossible to cover Stefon Diggs to Cole Beasley to sleek Dawson Knox. The bills will have to keep that chemistry going on Sunday.
What the Chiefs Must Do to Win: As mentioned above, Allen’s progress this season has been extraordinary and he is no longer the revenue machine that he was. But he still makes mistakes, and the Chiefs’ standout defensive talents, whether Tyrann Matthieu or Chris Jones, can force him to make mistakes. If the Bills manage to get the Chiefs into the run game, Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s condition, returning from injury, could be telling.
Key Player: Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback, Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes is the best player in the NFL, so he is the most important player in it each game he plays. But its impact on Sunday feels particularly telling. Mahomes was forced out of victory over the Browns last week due to a concussion – and he’s limited in training – but he will almost certainly start. The question is which version of Mahomes is playing. The concussion doesn’t appear to have been too damaging (at least in the short term), but more worrisome to the Chiefs is the fact that Mahomes also suffers from peat toe. Mahomes is not Lamar Jackson, he won’t scorch you 50 yards, but his mobility and ability to beat the rush is an important part of his game.
Prediction: bills. A fully fit Mahomes beats Allen 90% of the time. But a limited Mahomes, who has been very good rather than great in his recent games, is another proposition. The lingering effects of the concussion and its reduced mobility will turn these to the bills … just.
