Actor Cliff Simon dies at the age of 58 in terrible water accident | THE IMPARTIAL

CALIFORNIA. – After participating in a water accident, the famous actor Cliff Simon, died at the age of 58, in Topanga Beach, California, the Daily Mail published.

The British media reported it was Collete Simon, wife of the actor, who posted on his Facebook account that the interpreter of “Ba’al” in the science fiction series “Stargate SG-1” had lost his life in a kitesurfing accident last Tuesday.

According to the Daily Mail biography, Simon was a competitive swimmer and aspired to the Olympics before starting his acting career.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, he moved to the United States in 2000 after spending time in the United Kingdom.

He has performed with high-profile characters in such shows as ‘The Americans’, ‘NCIS: New Orleans’, ‘Castle’ and ‘Days Of Our Lives’.

“Acting is what I do, it’s just part of who I am”, the actor is said to have said in an interview while playing ‘Ba’al’, the villain he liked to hate in the ‘Stargate SG-1’ series, a character who appeared in the years from the fifth to the tenth and last season appeared from 2001 to 2007.

“Ba’al” appeared in 15 episodes and became a hit with fans thanks to his witty demeanor and the character’s developed motivations.

In a 2005 interview with “The Sci-Fi World”, Simon claimed to have met the producers of “Stargate SG-1” eight months before the character “Ba’al” was created.

He assured that the meeting went so well that the executive producers, Robert C. Cooper and Brad Wright, who decided to keep him on hold for about eight months until they created “Ba’al” to match their capabilities.

The series was a spin-off of the 1994 science fiction film “Stargate”, in which the US government discovers the title’s devices that can take users to other worlds in the blink of an eye.
