An agent of the Military Police of Public Order (PMOP) He was murdered last night in the Támara National Penitentiary Center, authorities reported.
So far it is known that the victim was identified as Pedro López Mejia (26), originally from the municipality Santa Elena in La Paz.
He is said to have been killed by a prisoner who used a padlock to attack the officer and end his life, after several beatings.

According to the report, the victim brought food to the prisoner when the violence occurred. The agent was assigned to the fifth battalion of the Military police.
The body of the deceased was transferred to the general directorate of forensic medicine Tegucigalpa, capital of Honduras.
