According to ESPN, Ohio State football 2021 is bound to have the most potential

You cannot perpetually compete for conference titles and national championships in a place like Ohio State without continuing to recruit at a high level. The Buckeyes have, of course, been doing that for a long time, which makes them one of the elite programs year after year.

It’s no different under Ryan Day. Maybe he even stepped up recruiting just a little bit from what we’re saying with Urban Meyer. He has just polished the consensus No. 2 ranked recruitment class in the country for 2021, with some of them already on campus as early enrollees.

Several will make significant contributions, and there’s little doubt that at least a handful (probably more) will also end up in the NFL when their careers are over on the shores of Olentangy.

But who has the best chance with the most potential? Opinions differ, but ESPN offered an option (subscription required) for each of the teams enrolled in a top 25 recruiting course for 2021. Who chose Tom VanHaaren from the OSU class? Inquiring minds want to know.
