The ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic and the social unrest that rocked the country in 2020 will continue to impact livelihoods and livelihoods this year. Look no further: the careers website Glassdoor dropped its 13th annual list of “100 Best Places to Work” this week, derived from the anonymous feedback of the employees who actually work at these companies. Employees complete a review describing their job, the work environment, and the company as an employer over the past year. And global management group Bain & Company tops the list of employee choice awards for 2021, followed by technology company NVIDIA NVDA,
and In-N-Out burger.
“They’ve put together a very thoughtful COVID response plan and have really upped their game on diversity, equality and inclusion in the wake of recent events in the US,” wrote an anonymous Bain employee from Chicago.
An In-N-Out employee was delighted that the West Coast burger chain “Great people, great leadership, I care about every day and we make the best burgers in the world!”
Some other famous names that round out the top 10 include Google GOOG,
Delta Air Lines DAL,
Lululemon LULU,
and Microsoft MSFT,
“Especially at COVID, the priority of management was the well-being and comfort of the employees,” writes a Delta employee.
Bain & Company, Apple AAPL,
and Google have been on each of Glassdoor’s 100 Best Places to Work lists since its inception 13 years ago.
Indeed, more than one in four (in fact 28) of the top 100 places to work in 2021 are technology companies, although Glassdoor notes that during the COVID-19 pandemic, there were six biotech and pharmaceutical employers among employees’ favorite companies appearance. this year, that’s an increase of 200% over last year. They include Johnson & Johnson JNJ,
at No. 24, Pfizer PFE,
at No. 39 and Eli Lilly and Company LLY,
at number 87.
These health trends matched the US News & World Report’s Best Jobs Rankings, also released this week, in which the physician assistant (average salary of $ 112,260 per year) is the best position to earn a six-figure salary. combine with high job satisfaction. This was followed by software developer ($ 107,510 per year); nurse practitioner ($ 110,700 per year); medical and health services manager ($ 100,980 per year); and physician ($ 206,500 per year).

In the tech field, Glassdoor’s “50 Best Jobs in America” for 2020 lists front-end engineers (computer programmers who earn an average base salary of $ 105,240 per year) at No. 1, followed by Java Developer ($ 83,589), Data Scientist ($ 107,801) , product manager ($ 117,713) and devops engineer ($ 107,310).
In addition, cloud software company Salesforce CRM,
is the only employer to make it on all five of Glassdoor’s lists of the best companies to work for this year, including major US companies, as well as the best places to work in Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. “Inclusive, best salary and benefits, brightest colleagues, excellent COVID response,” said a Salesforce representative.
