According to data published Sunday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 53 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the United States.

The CDC reported that 52,884,356 total doses were administered – about 72% of the 70,057,800 divided doses.

That’s about 2 million more doses administered since Saturday, for a seven-day average of about 1.6 million doses per day.

Just over 38 million people have now received at least one dose of the vaccine and about 14 million people have been fully vaccinated, data from the CDC shows.

To remember: Data published by the CDC may be delayed and no doses may have been given on the reported day.
