The announcement was made by Angel Ovalles, general manager of the new monarchs, who said he had already spoken to this group of players who showed the best mindset to represent the national colors in the important Caribbean event.
However, their participation would be subject to the results of the Covid 19 tests that started yesterday for all players, mainly for the members of the championship team.
In that sense, Ovalles told Listín Diario that this is the plan to bring this bulk of the players, but ultimately the results of the Covid 19 exams will determine which of them will make up the Dominican squad.
“This situation is a bit complicated, that’s the group we want to join, but we have to wait for the results of the tests that will be conducted and this will determine how we will count,” Ovalles told the paper.
He added that next Friday the players will undergo new tests, as well as Monday and Wednesday of next week.

In Canó’s case, he was unable to undergo the Covid 19 tests yesterday, but is expected to do so on Friday when the next appointment is.
Even Ovalles spoke to the star and showed his great willingness to be there.
