President Luis Abinader reported today that the border wall has secured all of his budget and is only waiting for his bids and plans.
“The wall is in planning, you know this is a process that has to go, present and bid, and then the best proposal is determined, but it already has a guaranteed budget,” he answered when questioned by reporters reporting of the President’s visit to Santiago, where he participated in various activities.
Regarding the measures the government would take against companies that failed to deliver the coronavirus vaccines on time, he stressed that this is a somewhat sensitive issue so they will analyze what the government will do in due course as not only the Dominican Republic has been violated, but many countries.
In this sense, he argued that to compensate for the deficiency, the government has entered into contracts with other suppliers to give continuity to the vaccination program that has been started.
“This is a very delicate issue as not only have they failed to comply with the Dominican government, but also many governments, but we will analyze what to do in due course,” he said.
