The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, took advantage of his visit to the border area of Elías Piña to meet his counterpart in the Republic of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse this Sunday.
The information was released this afternoon by Moïse through his Twitter account. Then the Dominican president confirmed the meeting.
“Today I met again with Dominican President Luis Abinader to discuss the priorities of the bilateral agenda between Haiti and the Dominican Republic: security, health, trade, migration, energy and the evolution of the political process in Haiti. A joint statement will be published shortly, ”the Haitian president posted on the social network along with a photo of both heads of state.
Abinader, who today toured the border area of that delineation and inspected the facilities of the coordinated border management unit and the perimeter fences dividing the Dominican Republic with Haiti, also posted a message on his Twitter account.
